Norris leads, but Higgins still in driving seat

This months tracking poll included detailed analysis of the Presidential election.  With the field to be decided two sets of candidate lists were tested, the first included those already nominated, and the second those that hope to be nominated by Wednesday of this week.

Higgins remains the leading candidate among those nominated, with McGuinness also showing well in the first robust poll since he was nominated.  Davis is third in the list, with Mitchell and Gallagher behind her.

When those not yet nominated are included, Norris just takes top spot ahead of Higgins, with the other candidates retaining similar positions, and Dana coming in at the end.  However, both Norris and McGuinness appear to have a core support, but limited appeal beyond this when transfers are taken into account.  Given that the vote is split across a number of candidates, this means Higgins is still probably best placed to win the election at the moment.
